The database provides information on individuals who traveled to the USA. Researches are made on request. If the name requested is found, a "certificate" containing details about this passenger is sent to the person/s seeking the information, however no passenger lists are made available.

The Staatsarchiv has put data on individuals on the Internet who emigrated from Hamburg in the period 1890 - 1894.

The Staatsarchiv holds passenger lists of vessels leaving ports worldwide in the period 1850-1934 as well as an alphabetical name index (1850-1871). The data are also stored on microfilm. These registers are particularly important because most of them include the passengers´ places of origin; frequently this information is not indicated in the lists established on arrival in the USA.

The Handelskammer Archive (Bremen) holds 2953 departure lists covering 1920-1939. Members of „Die Maus“ up to now made available online the lists of 1920-1923. Every month they enclose more lists.

We photocopy the complete arrival list (A3-size sheet) for a fee of $ 35 (shipping and photocopying up to 4 pages included). Payment by check is due after receipt of the photocopies.

We also search the name indices that are available in print form and on microfilm 1800 - 1897 (rate per hour: EUR 30,- / $ 35,-).

Please make sure that the information on the person to be traced is as accurate as possible. Payment is due after you have received the results of the search, however you also have to pay if the search was not successful. Therefore it is important that you indicate the number of search hours not to be exceeded.
